EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!!

*A note from Ms. J: This week we have a "guest blogger."  Our class has expressed a desire to have work written by specific students, instead of blogs written by the whole class, so we're giving it a try!  This week Molli wrote our blog.

For the last 2 weeks we haven't been writing.  Sorry about that.  But we do have some extremely exciting news, it's a secret 'till the end.  Mwa-ha-ha. :D Right now we'll tell ya about some other things. Oh, and don't peek at the special news (it was worth the wait).

For the next 2 or 3 weeks we will be learning about different kinds of measurement.  Right now we're learning about capacity.  If you don't know what capacity is it's how much an object can hold.  That's what we're learning about in math.

In social studies, we're learning about pioneers and Indians.  We're making 3D covered wagons.  Inside the covered wagons we're putting in a paper chest, a pot, a spinning wheel, a barrel, a coffee pot, a rifle, a lantern, an extra wheel, an ax, and a butter churn. That's what we're learning in social studies.

We are almost done with a fun project. It's a Time magazine project.  If you read Time magazine then you would know what "Person of the year" is.  We are doing a writing project about that.

The SUPER exciting news is (drum roll please) we got a letter from the WHITE HOUSE!!!  We also got a signed picture of Barack Obama himself!  We even got a picture of his dog!  Well, write to ya later.  Ms. J's class.
