Welcome to Cabin 4J!

We have had a great first two days of school! We have rescued a worm named Fred, learned about exciting Fourth Grade activities such as Reader's Friends, written in our science journals, gone to the library, and so much more!

Today we discussed what a scientist is and what a scientist does. Then we became scientists! First, we examined a "mystery" object and developed a hypothesis about what it was. We still don't know for sure, but Ms. J. promises us that we will learn about it next week! After lunch today we saved a gummy worm named Fred. We couldn't use our hands, but could use paper clips. It took a lot of problem solving and teamwork, but most of us succeeded. Then we ate Fred!

We are excited about using the computers in fourth grade, learning how to keyboard with our new keyboarding program, and doing more science! We're also excited about recess and about reading. We think we're going to have an extraordinary year in fourth grade; stay tuned to learn more!
